A new commander of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation was appointed.
Serhiy Pinchuk has become the new commander of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation, the Minister of Defense of the aggressor country, Serhiy Shoigu, said, reports rosZMI.
Also, the Ministry of Defense of Russia appointed the commanders of the Russian Navy and the Northern Fleet – Oleksandr Moiseyev and Kostiantyn Kabantsov, respectively.
Serhii Pinchuk headed the Russian military base on the Black Sea in Novorossiysk. Then he headed the Caspian Flotilla. Since 2021, Pinchuk was the first deputy commander of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation.
From February 28, 2022, the EU imposed sanctions against Pinchuk for participating in a full-scale Russian war against Ukraine.
USM previously reported that the International Criminal Court in The Hague issued an arrest warrant for Viktor Sokolov, commander of the Russian Black Sea Fleet.
It will be recalled that the SBU reported the suspicion to the Russian generals, who ordered the “grain corridor” to be mined.
