The Russian vessel “Alexander Deev” was damaged, probably after colliding with a floating ice at the Vanino-Kholmsk crossing.
It is known that the Russian vessel cannot move on its own due to damage and is awaiting emergency towing to the port of Vanino, writes ”Focus”.
There were 35 crew members, 28 passengers, and 28 cars on board.
The mass media report that the Sakhalin Transport Prosecutor’s Office has started an inspection of the implementation of the legislation on maritime safety, during which they will assess the technical condition of the vessel and the actions of the crew.

As previously reported by USM, the trawler “Captain Lobanov” caught fire in the Kaliningrad region of the Russian Federation. One person died, four were injured.
