In general, since the beginning of September, 2 million 728 thousand tons of grain were transported for export, of which 1 million 920 thousand tons of grain went to the ports. Rail Insider writes about this with reference to Valeriy Tkachev, deputy director of the commercial work department of JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia”.
Out of almost 3 million tons of export supplies, 808,000 tons were transported through the western border crossings. The leaders are Izów (Poland), Batiów (Hungary) and Jagodyn (Poland).
“Thanks to the opening of the “grain corridor”, the transportation of grain for export by rail has increased significantly, one might say doubled,” the “Ukrzaliznytsia” representative emphasized.
In addition, Valery Tkachev spoke about the positive dynamics of grain loading. In particular, recently this indicator has been steadily exceeding 100,000 tons per day.
