In the Baltic Sea – a leak from the russian gas pipeline “Nord Stream-2”

On Monday, September 26, Denmark recorded a natural gas leak from Nord Stream 2 in the Baltic Sea.

Already on September 27, the Danish authorities reported a drop in pressure in the gas pipeline. According to a preliminary assessment, the leak occurred in the area of ​​Bornholm Island. The Danish Maritime Authority has issued a navigation warning and a ban on sailing near the area.

The incident is not expected to have consequences for the security of Denmark’s gas supply.
