In the new season, Ukraine will export about 70 million tons of grain, – President of UGA
This season, Ukraine expects a harvest of grain and oilseeds in the amount of 105-108 million tons.
Based on these data, the export of products from Ukraine will amount to about 70 million tons. This was announced by the President of the Ukrainian Grain Association Mykola Gorbachev in an interview with FEG.
“If we assess the trends, then in the year before last we have grown a record harvest of grain and oilseeds – 98 million tons. Last year, due to bad weather conditions, production fell to 84 million, this year we expect a harvest of 105-108 million tons. This will be another record. There is something to be proud of. I think the same trend will continue. Exports this year will amount to about 70 million tons,” Gorbachev said.
The UGA President explains the growth of the harvest in Ukraine by favorable weather conditions. He also emphasizes that Ukrainian agricultural producers use more and more high-quality technologies – this applies to seeds and equipment.
“Seeds provide more potential, and equipment – less waste. Many agricultural enterprises use good fertilizers,” explains Gorbachev.
According to the analyst, the main buyers of Ukrainian grain will remain China, the countries of North Africa and the European Union.
