In the Odesa region, on the T-16-07 Izmail – Kiliya – Vylkove road, the repair of the bridge over the Kofa Canal is being completed.
This was reported by the State Agency for Infrastructure Reconstruction and Development of Ukraine.
Currently, road workers have arranged the top layer of asphalt concrete pavement on the entire repair area. It remains to apply road markings, install road signs, strengthen the curbs and paint the bridge.
“The repair of the bridge will significantly shorten the journey to the city of Izmail. Especially for residents of the city of Kiliya – currently they have to take a detour along the M-15 Odesa – Reni highway. In addition, the bridge will connect the Izmail and Kiliya ports and is of great importance for four communities of the Izmail district,” the department added.
Recall that the bridge was built in the 1960s, but in 2021 it was closed to all types of vehicles due to its emergency condition.
It was previously reported that the bridge over the Kofa Canal, which connects the Izmail and Kiliya ports, is being repaired in the Izmail district of the Odesa region.
