In the Sea of Azov, the enemy uses landing ships as ferries
In the Sea of Azov, the Russians use their large amphibious ships to transport civilian vehicles.
With the help of these ships, the Russian Federation “hoped to storm Odessa” not so long ago, noted the spokesman of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Captain 3rd rank Dmytro Pletenchuk.
According to him, amphibious ships are currently used as ferries to transport civilian vehicles, in particular passenger cars.
“This is their current situation with Crimean logistics. Such a decision was made with the permission of the Minister of Defense of Russia, or rather, the Minister of Attack of the Russian Federation,” Pletenchuk noted.
It is worth noting that in Russia earlier it was offered to take tourists to Crimea on amphibious ships or through the occupied territories of Ukraine.
Also, the spokesman of the Navy spoke about the current situation with the mines washed into the sea due to the detonation by the occupiers of the Kakhovskaya HPP.
According to the officer, for the demining of these numerous explosive objects, both underwater drones and specially created demining groups are used, including a mobile group that responds to each appearance of such IEDs both in the coastal zone and when they are already thrown directly onto the shore . But the danger remains, and so far it is impossible to completely neutralize it.
