In Zaporizhzhia, a deputy from the Opposition Party of Ukraine is suspected of collaborationist activities and embezzlement of property under martial law.
He is accused of transferring almost 24 thousand tons of agricultural products to the Russian Federation during the temporary occupation of the region, the Prosecutor General’s Office reported.
The investigation established that in July-August 2022, while in the occupied territory, the suspect, who previously held a managerial position at a farm in Kamianets-Dniprovska, arbitrarily disposed of the property of the enterprise without the consent of the owner.
From the farm’s warehouses, he transferred agricultural products to Russia for a total amount of over 56 million UAH – such losses were established by an economic examination.
The deputy was charged under Part 4 of Article 111-1 and Part 5 of Article 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
USM previously reported that the company’s director will be tried in the Odesa region for fraud with a soybean shipment worth over UAH 5 million.
