Invaders dismantle Ukrainian ship for spare parts in Sevastopol

The Russians have turned the captured Large Landing Craft “Konstantin Olshansky” into a “donor” for the technically worn-out Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation.
During reconnaissance of the Pivdenna Bay in Sevastopol, agents of the “ATESH” movement recorded the presence of a large landing ship “Konstantin Olshansky” and auxiliary vessels of the 205th detachment of the Logistics Center of the Russian Black Sea Fleet. This was reported on the Telegram channel of the partisan movement.
The captured Ukrainian Large Landing Craft is now being used by the Russians as a “donor” – equipment is regularly removed from the ship to repair other ships of a similar type, trying to somehow maintain the combat capability of the fleet.
This fact directly indicates the critical technical condition of the Russian Black Sea Fleet. In the conditions of sanctions, strikes by the Armed Forces of Ukraine and destroyed logistics, the Russians are no longer able to carry out full-fledged repairs of ships or replace equipment. The use of decommissioned ships as “spare parts warehouses” has become a forced norm for the occupiers — and the “Konstantyn Olshansky” is just one example.

As a reminder, the ship was captured during the occupation of Crimea in 2014. Since then, it has been looted for almost a decade. In March 2024, the Ukrainian Navy struck the ship with a Neptune missile, permanently disabling it and depriving the occupiers of the opportunity to use the ship in combat.
In addition, the presence of the PM-138 floating workshop and the Yenisei hospital ship, belonging to the auxiliary fleet of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, was recorded in the bay. As noted in ATES, these targets are under monitoring and may become objects for further strikes.
The day before, USM wrote that EU countries are planning to purchase new submarines and boats to deter Russia.
