It became known how the Russians poisoned the river Seim
The poisoning of the river Seim occurred due to the discharge of waste from the Russian plant in Tyotkino.
The dumping of waste from a sugar factory located in the Russian city of Tyotkino led to a mass death of fish in the Seim. This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal.
“According to our data, on the Russian side of Tyotkino, a sugar factory dumped waste into the river. This led to the pollution of the River Seim with organic substances, which caused a decrease in oxygen in the water, a massive death of fish,” the head of government said.
Now, in some parts of the river, recovery processes have already begun, and organic matter is settling and dissolving. There is no threat to the health of the residents of the surrounding areas, as well as to the water intakes of Chernihiv and Kyiv.
It will be recalled that, starting from August 14, the Russians caused large-scale pollution of the Seim. As a result of pollution, fish died en masse. The pollution immediately spread throughout the water area of the Seim within the Sumy Region and reached Chernihiv region.
