Japan allocates $14 million for the export of Ukrainian grain to Somalia

Japan has joined the World Food Program (WFP) to supply grain from Ukraine to the Somali Peninsula.
The Japanese government has decided to allocate 14 million dollars in grant aid to support Somalia, reports the Japanese Embassy in Ukraine.
In particular, the money will be directed to the export of Ukrainian wheat.
The embassy emphasized that Japan will continue activities aimed at developing and improving the humanitarian situation in countries where the food crisis is intensifying, including solving issues of peace and stability through, in particular, anti-terrorist measures, as well as overcoming the food crisis.
USM previously reported that Finland will help to transport Ukrainian grain to African countries.
