Kazakhstan plans to increase the terminal capacity of two ports

Kazakhstan and Germany signed a memorandum on increasing cargo flow on the TTM (Trans-Caspian Transport Route).

The Railways of Kazakhstan and the German company Rhenus SE have concluded a memorandum on increasing freight flow, writes CTS.

The document envisages cooperation in the development of logistics centers, increasing the terminal capacities of the ports of Aktau and Kuryk.

The parties plan to work together to increase cargo flow on the Trans-Caspian transport route.

The German side will provide technical and advisory support during the design of the container hub at the base of the Aktau port.

The memorandum will contribute to the expansion of TTM opportunities and the development of the transit potential of Kazakhstan.

As previously reported by USM, Kazakhstan may consider offers to supply oil to Europe, in particular to the Shvedt refinery.
