Kernel has increased exports thanks to the maritime corridor

As of the end of the 2023/2024 financial year, the agricultural holding has exported more than it did in the entire previous year.

In 2023/24 FR Kernel increased the volume of exports of agricultural products. This was stated by the CEO of the agricultural company Yevhen Osypov in a comment for the NV information.

This became possible only thanks to the opening of the Ukrainian sea corridor at the beginning of the season with the assistance of the Armed Forces Navy.

“Despite our competitive advantages – a favorable climate, the quality of our soils, etc., the biggest lever for the existence of the Ukrainian agricultural sector is export by sea,” Osypov said.

At the same time, the costs of growing agricultural crops fell in this FR. This was influenced by a decrease in the amount of fertilizer use by almost 40%. The CEO of the company emphasized that in the near future the application of fertilizers will have to be increased.

In general, according to forecasts, in 2024/25 the export of the FR crop will fall by approximately 10 million tons. At the same time, the shortage of grain on the domestic market will cause high demand from consumers.
