Kernel lost 500 tons of oil due to Russian shelling

As a result of drone attacks on the Kernel port infrastructure, oil storage tanks and other power plants were damaged.

Russian drones attacked the Kernel port infrastructure in the Odesa region twice in October-December, Latifundist reports with reference to the company’s operating report for Q2 2025 FY.

As a result of the attacks, vegetable oil storage tanks and part of the production facilities were damaged. This is stated in the company’s operating report for Q2 2025 FY.

Previously, the company’s losses amounted to about 500 tons of sunflower oil.

The agroholding noted that against the backdrop of increased attacks on the Black Sea and Danube ports, transshipment at terminals decreased by 11% year-on-year in the first half of the year. Operational activities were also affected by prolonged air strikes and regular disruptions in the operation of port terminals.

USM previously reported that on Christmas Eve, the Russian Federation attacked the Kernel oil and fat plant in Chornomorsk.
