Kernel’s fleet currently carries about 10% of the company’s agricultural products

The agricultural company plans to continue to increase the volume of transshipment, invest in the fleet and work in the ports of Great Odesa.

Kernel logistics director Mykola Miroshnychenko told about it.

According to him, the fiscal year 2025 is the year of the farmer – it is Ukrainian agricultural producers who decide where and how to sell their products.

“We plan to actively develop and increase the volume of transshipment of oil and grain at our terminals,” noted Mykola Miroshnychenko.

The company is also considering the Danube as an option to maintain exports when there is no high water.

“But this is not the way to grow. Under the condition of stable operation of sea exports, in our strategy, we leave capacities on the river as plan B – in case of problems with the ports of Great Odesa,” the director of logistics emphasized.

In particular, Kernel continues to invest in its own fleet.

“This is first of all a logical step in the future understanding of the markets in which we work. Today, our vessels cover about 10% of our transportation volumes. Having such an asset, we can analyze how this business works in order to use these opportunities as efficiently as possible,” said Mykola Miroshnychenko.

The company also decided to digitize logistics and involve partners in the market.

As previously reported by USM, Kernel uses AI to predict grain development. This is the agricultural holding’s own development, which provides an opportunity to more accurately plan plant protection and optimize the load on equipment.
