Kuleba: Ukraine will continue to develop temporary sea corridors
Ukraine is interested in restoring the Grain Initiative, but at the same time intends to develop an alternative way of exporting agricultural products, which has already been used by two vessels.
“We are certainly interested in restoring the operation of the Black Sea Grain Initiative. But we, as a state, have also demonstrated that there is an alternative to agreements with Russia. There is a safe sea route through which two ships left Ukrainian ports. This path will not be a hostage to Russian blackmail,” said Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba during the meeting with his French counterpart Catherine Colonna.
He added that this path can be developed and strengthened. The minister noted that he had discussed this issue with the French Foreign Minister.
In turn, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of France, Catherine Colonna, emphasized that French support for Ukraine will increase and continue until the Russian aggression is stopped.
“France will provide support to Ukraine in all directions: political, economic, humanitarian, diplomatic and, of course, military – to help Ukraine ensure its legitimate right to defense. This support will not only continue, but also increase. It will last as long as it takes to defeat Russian aggression,” she said.
It will be recalled that on August 26, a second ship left the water area of Odesa port through a temporary sea corridor. The bulk carrier Primus has been in Ukraine since February 20, 2022.
