“Lanes of solidarity”: Ukraine exported 32 million grain per year
From April 2022 to March 2023, Ukraine exported more than 32 million tons of grain and oil crops through the “Lanes of Solidarity”.
The results of the work of “Lanes of Solidarity” were discussed during the meeting of the agrarian committee of the European Parliament in Brussels, reports the Ministry of Agricultural Policy of Ukraine.
“Thanks to the joint efforts of the EU and neighboring member states, a great logistical success was achieved through the “Lanes of Solidarity”. From April 2022 to March 2023, thanks to them, Ukraine was able to export more than 32 million tons of grain and oil crops,” said Markiyan Dmytrasevich, Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
According to him, over the past year, the heavy load from the export of Ukrainian agricultural products has also affected the western neighbors. But such a situation has a positive effect on their markets.
Thus, as a result of the increase in the export of Ukrainian grain, the price of grain on the markets of other countries became more competitive, more jobs were created in these countries and the amount of taxes paid increased.
As previously reported by USM, Romania decided not to ban the import of Ukrainian agricultural products.
