Large-scale reconstruction is planned in the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi port to create a multimodal hub


The reconstruction involves the creation of the largest multimodal hub of the European part of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TMTM), or the “Middle Corridor”, based on the port.

This was reported by the First Deputy Director of the Bilhorod-Dniestrovskyi Port, Igor Bilyk.

Thus, the New Silk Way International Transport and Logistics Business Forum and the annual international exhibition “Transport and Logistics” TransLogistica Kazakhstan 2025 were held in Kazakhstan.

The Director of the Bilhorod-Dniestrovskyi Port, Oksana Kiktenko, took part in the conference on the transportation of oversized and heavy cargo BreakBulk Kazakhstan: The Caspian and Key Challenges of Project Logistics – Infrastructure, Fleet, Coordination and TRIPP Vision.

Oksana Kiktenko spoke about new opportunities for the development of the Middle Corridor based on the Bilhorod-Dniestrovskyi port, recalled the successful privatization of the facility and announced a large-scale reconstruction of the port with the aim of creating the largest multimodal hub of the European part of the TMTM on its basis.

In the near future, it is planned to open a ferry connection with the ports of Batumi and Poti for road and rail transport of the Middle Corridor.

Earlier, USM reported that the Bilhorod-Dniestrovskyi port signed a memorandum with Batumi International Container Terminals.
