Last year, Ukraine exported agricultural products worth $22.53 billion

According to the results of 2025, Ukraine exported agricultural products worth $22.53 billion, which is 8.8% or $2.15 billion less than the previous year.
This was reported by the Ukrainian Agrarian Business Club (UCAB).
Despite the decrease in foreign exchange earnings, the share of the agricultural sector in the overall structure of exports of goods in 2025 was 56.1%.
“Although this percentage decreased slightly compared to the record year of 2023, when agricultural products accounted for 61% of all exports, the industry continues to generate more than half of the country’s foreign trade revenues,” the UCAB noted.
The most noticeable trend was the reduction in agricultural exports to the European Union. If in 2022-2024 the EU’s share in the structure of Ukrainian agricultural exports steadily exceeded 50%, then in 2025 it fell to 47.5% ($10.7 billion). One of the influencing factors is the change in logistics routes and the strengthening of regulatory restrictions on the European market. There is also a general decrease in trade dynamics, namely: the balance with the EU decreased to $ 6.06 billion compared to $ 8.87 billion in 2024.
The UCAB added that, on the contrary, against the background of a decrease in export revenues, a reverse trend is observed in the import segment. In 2025, purchases of foreign agricultural products increased to a record $ 8.75 billion in the last five years.
Although the share of agricultural products in Ukraine’s total imports has remained stable over the past four years at about 10.8%, in absolute terms, food import costs are growing every year. At the same time, in 2025, more than 53% of all agricultural imports ($ 4.64 billion) came from the European Union countries, which emphasizes the deep integration of the Ukrainian consumer market with the European one.
