Lithuania did not let a russian ship into its port

Lithuania refused a ship flying the russian flag to enter its port.

Over the weekend, a ship drifting under the russian flag was not allowed to enter the port of Klaipeda.

This was stated by the Minister of Communications and Transport of Lithuania, Marius Skoudis, Delfi reports.

He added that the russians are looking for schemes to circumvent sanctions. The Lithuanian government is ready to support the implementation of national sanctions and the imposition of thousands of fines for violations of international restrictions.

Lithuania is also considering the issue of a complete ban on transit transportation of russian and Belarusian goods through its territory. However, this initiative must be coordinated with the European Union.
