Lloyd’s Register revoked the certification of the company transporting Rosneft
Lloyd’s Register revoked the certification of an Indian company that transported Russian oil.
The Indian company Gatik Ship Management revoked the certification of 21 vessels, Reuters reports. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine, the company has become the main carrier of Rosneft.
The decision will enter into force on June 3. The company was also ordered to change the flags of 36 ships.
“Lloyd’s Register promotes compliance with sanctions on trade in Russian oil. If supported by evidence, we withdraw classes and services from any vessels that violate international restrictions,” the classification society said.
We will remind you that in April, the Rosneft carrier Gatik Ship Management lost its P&I insurance.
