Logistics company reimbursed over UAH 7 million in unpaid taxes, — BEB

According to the materials of the Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine, the logistics company paid more than UAH 7 million in profit tax to the budget.

It turned out that the company evaded taxes through transactions with fictitious companies, the Bureau of Economic Security reported.

The company specializes in providing services for the transportation and escort of cargo, in particular, grain crops.

The company’s chief accountant was suspected of committing tax fraud. According to the investigation, the company artificially overstated its expenses by declaring non-existent financial and economic transactions. This allowed the company to avoid paying profit tax in the amount of more than UAH 7 million.

BEB detectives established violations and achieved compensation for the losses incurred. The funds paid have already been transferred to the state budget.

Criminal proceedings have been opened under Part 2 of Article 212 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (“evasion of taxes, fees (mandatory payments)”).

It will be recalled, Ukrainian companies have announced pressure from Bureau of Economic Security employees, who have recently been blocking the work of enterprises in the Odesa port.
