London Lloyd’s Ascot has renewed the insurance of ships with Ukrainian grain

The London company Lloyd’s Ascot is resuming the program of insurance of goods transported along the “grain corridor”.

“In response to today’s news, AsOne, led by Ascot, is re-listing and we have already made the listing public this morning,” company spokesman Chris McGill told Reuters on November 2.

Other insurers also provide cover through the Ascot facility, which also includes broker Marsh.

On Monday, the company said it was no longer covering vessels under the “grain corridor” after russia suspended its participation in the Grain Agreements.

The renewal of Lloyd’s Ascot ship insurance is connected with the “return” of russian federation to the Initiative.

Banks generally require vessels calling at Great Odesa ports to have a variety of insurance policies, including hull and cargo insurance, which is renewed every seven days.
