Lukashenko: Belarus will repair ships for Russia

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has instructed to redirect Belarusian ship repair facilities to work for Russia.
As reported by Russian media, the Belarusian president has instructed to redirect the ship repair facilities available in the republic to perform work for Russia.
“The Russians, thank you, well done, offered us a good piece in aircraft construction and shipbuilding — ship repair and other things, other things. Small-sized, small ones,” Lukashenko said on Wednesday, May 28.
He stated that “somewhere near Gomel — in Mozyr and in Pinsk there was a repair base.”
“Well, it seems, we don’t need it, we’re not a maritime state, they cut something down, they handed something over for scrap metal. If there are volumes of work, people are still left, we need to think about starting work in this regard from some directions,” the Belarusian dictator added.
USM previously reported that Lukashenko wants to transport 50 million tons of Belarusian cargo through Russian ports.
