“Metinvest” sent almost 2 million tons of cargo through the ports and railways of Poland
In 2023, Metinvest shipped almost two million tons of cargo through Polish seaports and railways.
Last year, the volume of cargo of the “Metinvest” group, transported by the ports and railways of Poland, increased by 16% – up to 1.9 million tons. The head of the logistics department of Metinvest Polska Metinvest Polska, Yulia Mezyentseva, told about this in an interview with Puls Biznesu.
The company transported 1.3 million tons of metal products, 378 thousand tons of iron ore, as well as 237 thousand tons of coking coal.
Out of all 1.9 million tons of cargo, 939,000 tons were exported to third countries from Polish ports.
Part of the cargo was sent by rail or trucks to the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Italy, Germany and other countries.
Previously, USM reported that exporters of metal products had “cautiously optimistic” after the first ships with metal left Ukrainian ports. This opinion was shared by Yulia Dankova, financial director of Metinvest.
