The ammunition, which was washed ashore by waves, was eliminated by controlled detonation.

On July 19, the Ukrainian Navy reported the destruction of a naval anti-ship mine that had washed ashore by waves on the coast of the Odesa region.

A day earlier, on July 18, rescuers from the Odesa State Emergency Service reported the discovery of a suspicious explosive object on one of the Black Sea beaches.

Similar cases on the Black Sea coast are recorded regularly due to mining of the water area in wartime. The defense forces urge citizens not to approach suspicious objects on the beaches and to immediately report them to the State Emergency Service or the military.
