Mobile shelters installed in the port of Chornomorsk

As part of the implementation of the program to install 38 modular shelters, the State Enterprise “USPA” delivered the first batch – three mobile protective structures were installed in the port of Chornomorsk.

By the end of the year, seven more are planned to be installed in the port, the press service of the State Enterprise “Ukrainian Seaports Authority” noted.

The department added that the mobile shelters will be an important addition to the existing security system, providing port workers with quick access to protection even in the most remote points of the terminals.

“This is especially critical in conditions of minimal response time in the event of missile threats,” the department added.

Chornomorsk became the first port where a large-scale program to strengthen the protection of maritime workers was deployed. In the future, mobile shelters are planned to be placed in the ports of Great Odesa and the Danube region.

“Each shelter is designed taking into account the specifics of the activity and will allow for the most effective protection of critical infrastructure personnel, on which the stability of Ukraine’s export transportation depends,” the department noted.

Earlier, USM reported that the USPA will install additional mobile shelters in ports.
