Moldova and Ukraine discussed the transit of wagons via the ferry to Batumi

Moldovan Railways proposes to send freight cars from Chornomorsk to Batumi by ferry.
This was discussed during a meeting of representatives of Moldovan Railways and Ukrzaliznytsia in Kyiv, writes Latifundist.
Moldova proposed to resume the transit of Ukrainian cargo to the European Union countries and back via its railway lines.
Representatives of railway companies of Ukraine and Moldova discussed the possibility of using a ferry: freight cars from Chornomorsk can be transported to the Georgian port of Batumi via Moldovan Railways.
In particular, during the meeting, they discussed the idea of creating a joint electronic database of freight cars. This should simplify and speed up the crossing of borders between the countries.
Let us recall that in April of this year, Ukraine and Georgia resumed ferry service. The first flights from the port of Chornomorsk to Batumi have already taken place.
