More than 50 ships are still blocked in the ports of Ukraine

More than 50 vessels with crew members and various cargoes remain blocked in Ukraine. More than half of the ships are in the ports of the Mykolaiv region.

As of March 14, 51 vessels with approximately 670,000 tons of various cargoes, including grain, were blocked in the ports of the country, reports “Interfax-Ukraine” with reference to USPA. There are almost 230 crew members on the ships.

At the same time, 30 vessels are blocked in the ports of the Mykolaiv region, eight of which contain more than 165,000 tons of agricultural products.

“The Ukrainian side has repeatedly emphasized the need to expand the Black Sea Grain Initiative to include ports in the Mykolaiv region. This will make it possible to significantly increase the volume of Ukrainian food exports to needy countries of the world,” the USPA noted.
