More than 57 million: losses from the attack on the agricultural enterprise in Odesa region

As a result of the Russian attack on a Singaporean agricultural enterprise in Odesa region, 10 oil storage tanks were destroyed.

This is reported by the State Environmental Inspection of Ukraine.

So, on April 19, around 3:00 p.m., a ballistic missile hit an enterprise that specializes in the production and transshipment of vegetable oils.

“Ten tanks for storing finished products were destroyed. Ten 10,000 tons of vegetable oil in tanks were destroyed. The vegetable oil transshipment terminal and other production equipment of the enterprise were damaged,” the report says.

Environmental protection inspectors conducted an inspection of the shelling sites to record and calculate the damage caused to the environment.

Due to metal debris and combustion products, the land with an area of more than 500 square meters was littered — the amount of damage is almost UAH 37 million.

Land plots with an area of more than 3,000 square meters were also contaminated with vegetable oil — the amount of damage is UAH 20.2 million.

As previously reported by USM, due to the Russian attack on the port infrastructure of Odesa on April 19, the damage caused to the environment alone was estimated at more than  UAH 300 million.
