More than 6 tons of diesel fuel could be stolen in Izmail port
More than 6 tons of stolen diesel fuel were found in Izmail. It is assumed that it was stolen from ships that were in the waters of the Izmail Sea Port.
“More than 6 tons of stolen diesel fuel were found in Izmail. Containers of different volumes with diesel fuel were found during searches. In addition, fuel was stored in two minibuses, one of which was on the territory of the household, and the other nearby,” reports the Izmail Border Squad.
The law enforcement officers assume that the fuel was probably stolen from the vessels of PJSC “Ukrainian Danube Shipping” and other vessels that were in the waters of the Izmail sea trade port.
The detected fuel and the vehicle were seized for examination. Investigations are ongoing.
As previously reported by USM, six pusher tugs of PJSC “Ukrainian Danube Shipping” were recently equipped with video surveillance systems. In particular, to prevent theft of fuel from ships.
