NATO can “help” Ukraine in the Black Sea
The North Atlantic Alliance has promised support for Ukraine in the Black Sea.
Ukraine is negotiating to increase the presence of NATO ships in the waters of the Black Sea. Yuriy Ignat, the spokesman of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, announced this on the air of the “Edyny Novyni” telethon.
Any presence of allies from NATO countries in the Black Sea is a certain advantage. Both Turkey and Romania as NATO members have the appropriate forces and means to maintain security in the Black Sea.
“We work with our partners in constant coordination, and strengthening their presence will be beneficial for us,” Ignat noted.
It is worth noting that NATO is currently helping Ukraine with aerial reconnaissance over the Black Sea.
