Naval coalition for Ukraine: what is known

Partner countries transfer ships to Ukraine, including minesweepers. A corvette is also being built in Turkey. All this speaks of a naval coalition for Ukraine.
“Thanks to the announcement by the Minister of Defense of the Netherlands Kaisa Ollongren that minesweepers will be handed over to us, we can say that a naval coalition is currently being formed,” said Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov during a briefing at Ukraine Media Center Odesa.
Yes, Britain has already handed over two minesweepers to Ukraine, they already have two Ukrainian crews on them and the Ukrainian flag has been raised. They will also be joined by crews on ships from the Netherlands and Belgium.
“We are ready to provide two minesweepers, they can be used already in 2025. In the second half of 2023, we will start training the Ukrainian military so that they can master these vessels, – emphasized the Minister of Defense of the Netherlands, Kaisa Ollongren.
According to Reznikov, the coalition already includes at least 3 countries.
“Maritime state Ukraine will develop its fleet. Plus, we are building the Ukrainian fleet in Turkey. Now we can confidently say that a naval coalition has been formed,” the minister emphasized.
