Navy: Stormy weather in the Black and Azov Seas limits Russian missile attacks

At the same time, no combat ships of the Russian Black Sea Fleet have been recorded in the bays of the occupied Crimea.
This was reported by the spokesman for the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Dmytro Pletenchuk during a telethon.
According to him, adverse weather in the waters of the Black and Azov Seas has significantly limited the Russian Federation’s capabilities for missile attacks on Ukraine.
Storms of force 3-4 have been going on for several days. Despite the technical ability of modern ships to go to sea, launching missiles in such weather is extremely dangerous. Due to the high risks, the command of the occupiers usually refrains from launches.
“This “storm season” will traditionally last until mid-spring, creating obstacles for the enemy not only in the open sea, but also in ports. In particular, due to the complex geography and specific navigation of the base in Novorossiysk, strong winds make maneuvering ships there particularly risky,” Dmytro Pletenchuk noted.
The aggressor’s aerial reconnaissance has also slowed down – due to bad weather, the intensity of aviation flights has dropped significantly.
