Mykolaiv plans to turn the sister-ship of the sunken cruiser “Moskva” into a tourist attraction

The head of the Mykolaiv Regional Administration, Vitaliy Kim, said that one of the post-war projects in the region will be the development of military tourism.

In an interview with “Glavkom”, Kim said that there are many objects in the region that can be used to demonstrate the consequences of Russian crimes.

Among the potential tourist locations, he mentioned the cruiser “Ukraine” – one of four ships of the same type built in Mykolaiv. One of them – the cruiser “Moskva” – was sunk, two more remain in Russia.

Vitaliy Kim also once again reminded that the restoration of the ports of the Mykolaiv region depends on the Armed Forces (this concerns the liberation of the Kinburn Spit) and on a political decision.

“The width of the passage between the spit and Ochakiv is 2 km. As long as the invaders are able to simply throw stones at these ships – this is impossible,” Kim commented.

USM previously reported that a Nikolaev businessman was trying to sell naval artillery of the Defense Forces to Russia.
