Norway will hand over small boats to Ukraine and hold a course for marines
Norway will conduct a course on small boat operations for Ukrainian marines, and will also hand over such boats to Ukraine.
In the spring, Norway will start a course for Ukrainian marines, as well as hand over small boats with equipment to Ukraine. This was reported to the Ministry of Defense of Norway
Norway will provide inflatable boats with equipment for operations. The total cost of the ships will be about 5 million euros.
The boats and training are Norway’s contribution as part of the “maritime coalition” it co-leads with Great Britain.
Defense Minister Björn Arild Gram said that Norway should help Ukraine keep trade routes in the Black Sea open. The state aims to strengthen the defense capability of Ukraine at sea.
Ukrainian marines will train in the coastal zone and at river crossings.
Earlier, USM reported that Rustem Umyerov offered Turkey to join the Maritime Coalition to strengthen security in the Black Sea.
