Odesa court seizes 5.4 thousand tons of agricultural products at the port of Pivdennyi

According to Bureau of Economic Security materials, the city court in the Odesa region seized soybeans that traders were trying to illegally export to Egypt through the port of Pivdennyi.
This was reported by the Bureau of Economic Security press service.
During the pre-trial investigation, law enforcement officers established that a company specializing in wholesale grain trade, without documents on the legality of the origin of agricultural products, tried to export almost 5.4 thousand tons of soybeans outside the customs territory of Ukraine.
The estimated value of the agricultural products is almost 2 million US dollars.
The enterprise submitted a customs declaration of the type “EK 61 RR” in the “Processing outside the customs territory” mode. The recipient indicated a non-resident enterprise in the United Arab Emirates.
In general, the court decided to seize the seized agricultural products worth almost 92.6 million UAH.
USM previously reported that the Bureau of Economic Security blocked an attempt to export $2 million worth of “black grain” through the Pivdennyi port.
