Odesa Port signed a memorandum with the Port of Rotterdam

Odesa Port Expands International Cooperation: Memorandum Signed with Port of Rotterdam (Netherlands).

This was reported by the Odesa Sea Port Authority.

On March 30, a two-day Dutch-Ukrainian intergovernmental conference was held in Breda (Netherlands) — an international event organized by the governments of Ukraine and the Netherlands within the framework of strengthening political and economic cooperation between the countries.

During the business forum, the Odesa branch of the State Enterprise “Sea Ports Authority of Ukraine” signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the largest port in Europe — the port of Rotterdam. This is another important step in the development of Ukrainian ports and their integration into the global logistics system.

The document was signed by the head of the Odesa branch of the State Enterprise “USPA” Dmytro Nazarenko and representatives of the Dutch side — port captain Rene de Vries and legal manager Joop Vermeulen. The memorandum opens up new opportunities for the exchange of experience and the implementation of joint projects.

“The signing of this memorandum is a real step towards the development of the Odesa port according to the best European standards. The experience of the port of Rotterdam, one of the leading ports in the world, is extremely valuable to us. We expect that this cooperation will help introduce modern technologies and increase the efficiency of our port even in today’s difficult conditions,” commented Dmytro Nazarenko.

The parties paid special attention to modern solutions for the port industry: the introduction of digital technologies, the use of artificial intelligence in logistics and increasing the efficiency of port management.

A separate area of cooperation was identified as the restoration of the port infrastructure of Odesa and support for the maritime sector of Ukraine.

Earlier, USM reported that the USPA and JASPERS discussed the modernization of ports in accordance with EU standards.
