Over 300 thousand tons of agricultural products have already been shipped within the framework of Grain from Ukraine

The Grain from Ukraine humanitarian initiative has made it possible to ensure the supply of Ukrainian grain to Africa, the Middle East and Asia.

Since 2022, Ukraine has delivered more than 300 thousand tons of humanitarian agricultural products to 18 of the most vulnerable countries in the world. This was announced by Deputy Minister of Economy Denys Bashlyk during the 53rd session of the UN Committee on World Food Security (FAO), which is taking place in Rome.

“Despite Russia’s aggression, Ukraine continues to fulfill its mission as a guarantor of global food security. We remain a reliable partner, food supplier and defender of the principle that no country should be held hostage to hunger,” Bashlyk emphasized.

According to him, FAO remains a strategic partner of Ukraine — thanks to the organization’s support, farmers receive resources and equipment, and communities in the deoccupied territories receive the opportunity to resume production.

The official also stressed that Russian aggression remains one of the key factors in the current food crisis. The destruction of agricultural infrastructure, mining of fields, attacks on energy facilities and the blockade of Black Sea ports affect not only Ukraine, but also the global food security system.

USM also recently wrote that the Ukrainian maritime corridor has passed 150 million tons of cargo.
