Over the past two months, russian federation has exported more than 190,000 tons of stolen grain
In September and October, the russians removed 191.7 thousand tons of stolen Ukrainian grain from the “Avlita” grain terminal in Sevastopol.
In total, in two months, 23 flights were made from “Avlita” in two directions – to Syria and to the port of the Caucasus. This was reported by the SeaCrime project of the Peacemaker portal.
During September, 91,500 tons of grain were exported from the occupied Sevastopol. The investigators of the SeaKrime project recorded 14 voyages of vessels that were loaded at the grain terminal of the stevedoring company “Avlita” (registered as “Aval” in Russian registers, part of the sanctioned United Shipbuilding Corporation).
The vast majority of cargo in September is wheat. Only two flights recorded the transportation of corn. Also, in September, only russian-flagged vessels participated in the illegal export of grain from Avlita.
“In September, we recorded a significant fact: grain from occupied Sevastopol (under sanctions since 2014) is transported only in two directions – Syria and the port of the Caucasus, in contrast to the previous period, when we recorded the supply of grain to Turkish ports as well,” the investigators write.
In October, the occupiers took out 100.2 thousand tons of grain. SeaKrime recorded 9 ship voyages. The vast majority of the cargo is wheat, but barley was recorded in two passages. In October six russian-flagged vessels and one Syrian-flagged vessel took part in the illegal export of grain from Avlita.
In October the grain from occupied Sevastopol was also transported in 2 directions – Syria and the port of the Caucasus.
