Caravans of the Ukrainian Danube Shipping Company continue to deliver grain to the port of Constanta.
Photos of the restoration of a grain caravan in Constanta, Romania, were published on the UDS Telegram page.
The department noted that wheat on the world market today is at least 20% cheaper than that. And in the first quarter of 2022, the price was twice as high as before. The situation does not need to be favorable as it appears on the river logistics market.
“European farmers are in no hurry to export due to market corrections. But our Danube grain route is working: river transportation from the Middle Danube to Constanta is the most accessible logistics route for farmers to the great seaport,” said Vladislav Belakh, advocate general of the UDS.
As previously informed the USM, in connection with the blocking of the entry cordon, the UDS requested to redirect the goods that were transported from the EU by vantazhovs to river transport.
