Poisonous substances and mines got into the Black Sea with flood flows
Because of the terrorist attack by the Russians at the Kakhovska HPP, dangerous objects and pathogens of infectious diseases continue to be discovered in the Black Sea.
As of Wednesday, June 14, the mine danger in the Black Sea remains, Odesa Regional Military Administratio reports.
“The situation is under control, but mine danger and the threat of diseases remain. “Poisonous substances, causative agents of infectious diseases, mines and other dangerous objects entered the Black Sea along with the flood flows due to the undermining of the Kakhovska HPP by the Russians,” the message reads.
Currently, the water in the Black Sea does not meet sanitary, hygienic and epidemiological standards. There is also a temporary ban on visiting beaches and swimming.
As previously reported by USM, the mine-explosive barricades that the occupiers had previously set up on the Dnipro River were washed away by the current into the Black Sea.
