Poland and Ukraine plan to develop a grain export licensing mechanism
Poland wants to jointly develop a mechanism for mutual licensing of export of agricultural products with Ukraine.
This was stated by the head of the Polish Ministry of Agriculture, Czeslaw Siekerski, during the 9th meeting of the Polish-Ukrainian Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation.
“We want to develop a method of protection against the negative consequences of importing agricultural products from Ukraine, acceptable to all participants,” Sekersky emphasized.
He also added that Poland is ready to share knowledge and experience regarding the adaptation of the Ukrainian agro-food sector to the requirements of the European Union.
In particular, the minister expressed hope for cooperation between Poland and Ukraine for the joint export of food products to the markets of third countries.
As previously reported by USM, a decrease in grain and oil crops harvest is predicted in Ukraine.
