Poland calls for new sanctions against russian federation
Poland proposed to introduce new sanctions against russia. The new restrictions concern, in particular, the import of pipeline oil and diamonds.
Poland submitted a written proposal for new sanctions against the Russian Federation to the EU executive commission. Already today, April 19, negotiations will take place between the 27 countries of the bloc to introduce restrictions against the aggressor country. Possible dates for the introduction of the next sanctions against russian federation are still unknown.
Warsaw calls on the EU to stop importing Rosneft through the northern part of the Druzhba oil pipeline to Germany. In addition, sanctions should be implemented against the import of russian diamonds and natural gas. Poland also insists on limiting Russia’s cooperation in nuclear energy, Reuters reports.
It was previously reported that the 11th package of sanctions will focus on combating the circumvention of existing restrictions. In particular, measures against russia’s import of spare parts and equipment, which the terrorist country uses for the war against Ukraine, will be strengthened.
