Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said that Poland will cancel duty-free trade with Ukraine starting June 5.
Tusk noted that Poland “will take care of its economic interests,” RMF24 reports.
The prime minister also stressed that Poland wants to help Ukraine in the war with Russia, but this “cannot happen at the expense of Polish producers.”
“From June 5, this mechanism will not exist. We are returning to the pre-war situation when it comes to border rules,” Tusk said.
Earlier, USM reported that the Ukrainian government plans to reach an agreement with the EU by June 5 on the extension of the “trade visa-free regime.”
