Port of Gdańsk plans to increase transshipment thanks to Ukrainian agricultural products
The operators of the Gdańsk port plan to increase the transshipment of grain to almost 3 million tons in the next two years.
It is planned to increase cargo turnover thanks to transshipment of energy resources, such as coal and liquid fuel. According to CTS, Ukrainian and Polish grain is another group of cargo that is considered a priority for the port of Gdańsk.
In 2022, almost 2 million tons of grain passed through the berths of the port. Since the beginning of this year, operators have transshipped more than 764,000 tons of grain.
Vessels with grain (meal, corn, wheat, rye, beans, rapeseed, oil crops) go mainly to the ports of Denmark, the Netherlands, Great Britain, Germany, Finland, Sweden, Norway and Belgium.
