Port Reni set an all-time record for cargo handling in May

Port Reni handled 1 million tons of cargo in May 2023. This is a record indicator for the entire history of the port.

The port operators have also achieved their historical records, the press service of USPA noted. Thus, the State Enterprise “Reni Sea Trade Port” processed about 350,000 tons, LLC “SK Accord” more than 100,000 tons.

According to the nomenclature of cargoes, grain cargoes are on the first place, edible oil is on the second place.

“Such results were achieved, including thanks to the concerted actions of state and private structures, the expansion of the cargo nomenclature, as well as the implemented operational improvements — the operation of new sea terminals has been started, new transshipment technologies have been developed using floating cranes, mobile transloaders, lighters, new temporary warehouses have been built, scales, laboratories, etc. have been equipped,” — noted in USPA.

In general, in the month of May, 391 vessels were processed in the port, of which 134 were sea and 257 were river vessels.
