On the night of December 13, the Russian Federation carried out a combined attack with drones and missiles on port and energy facilities in the Odesa region – the elimination of the consequences of the shelling is still ongoing.
This was reported by the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine.
In particular, Deputy Minister Andriy Kashuba held a meeting on ensuring the uninterrupted operation of seaports with the Acting Head of the USPA Artem Lytvynov and the Head of the State Service for Maritime and Inland Water Transport and Shipping of Ukraine Mykola Kravchuk.
During the meeting, the actions of the USPA units and port services were coordinated to promptly respond to the consequences of the shelling and ensure the stable operation of the ports according to the developed plans.
The priority remains the safety of personnel, the reliability of energy supply and communications, logistics and the safety of navigation in the water areas of the ports and on the approach channels.
The seaports of the Odesa region currently continue to operate. In each port, decisions are made promptly, taking into account the security situation and available technical capabilities.
It is also noted that all specialized services have been put on high alert. Earlier, USM reported that a fire broke out in the Odesa port as a result of one of the most massive attacks by the Russian Federation on the Odesa region.
