Prices for sunflower oil have decreased in the ports of Great Odesa

Ukrainian sunflower oil fell by $50/t and was traded this week at $1,110-1,115/t.

This was reported by analysts at Spike Brokers.

Ukrainian refineries have accumulated raw materials for 1-1.5 months. The decline in world prices for oil and meal caused a drop in the price of sunflower to UAH 24-25.5 thousand/t (delivery to the plant), for a basic oil content of 46% (dry matter). The amount of sunflower supply increased against the background of the decline in prices.

“The saturation of the external market with oilseeds and processed products continues. Meal on the western border fell by $15-20/t and was traded at $210-215/t DAP Poland. In the seaports of Ukraine, meal was traded at $190/t (non-pelletized) and $200/t (pelletized),” analysts noted.

Latest indications from buyers:

• DAP Ukraine (plant) 46% (dry) ~$510-540/t,

• DAP Bulgaria (center) 44% (raw) ~$600-610/t,

• CIF Bulgaria (port) 44% (raw) ~$590-600/t.

We remind you that at the end of October, prices for sunflower oil increased in the ports of Odesa. The trend was observed due to high demand from processing plants and low supply from manufacturers.

As USM previously wrote, sunflower oil ranks first among export items in the seaports of Ukraine.
