Reni Port Receives New Equipment as Part of RELINC Project

The Port of Reni has received a front-end wheel loader that will increase the efficiency of cargo handling.
As reported by the USPA, the equipment was transferred within the framework of the project “Restoration of Critical Logistics Infrastructure and Network Connectivity” (RELINC), which is implemented by the USPA jointly with the World Bank.
The supplier was the company “Zeppelin Ukraine”. The purchase was carried out through the Prozorro system in accordance with the World Bank Procurement Rules for IPF borrowers – in compliance with the principles of open competition and transparency.
The new equipment will strengthen the handling capacity of the Port of Reni and increase the efficiency of cargo handling. This is especially important for the Danube Logistics Corridor, which continues to operate in a critical mode.
The RELINC project is implemented by the USPA jointly with the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development with grant funding from the Multi-Donor Trust Fund for Support, Recovery, Reconstruction and Reform of Ukraine.
USM previously reported that the special economic zone in the territory of the Reni port is planned to be abolished.
